Abstract(in English) The choroid, a dense vascular layer located in the fundus, accounts for the majority of the blood supply to the retina. In recent years, the correlation between choroidal structure and pathophysiology has been revealed in various eye diseases, emphasizing the significance of the quantitative evaluation of choroidal structures for understanding the pathogenesis of ocular diseases and illnesses. This study aims to develop a method for extracting choroidal structures from three-dimensional (3D) optical coherence tomography (OCT) images of both normal and diseased eyes. The extraction method incorporates preprocessing techniques capable of reducing tailing artifacts and uses a transformer-based 3D deep learning network which embedded convolutional operations. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieved highly accurate choroidal structure extraction with an F-score of 97.9% for both normal and central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) cases.
