Abstract(in English) | In various industries where wire harness is used, it is expected that increasing data capacity and complicating network configuration by increasing the information devices. Therefore, expanding data capacity and simplifying network configuration are required. Recently, optical fibers have been introduced for connecting devices instead of coaxial cables in order to increase the throughput, to reduce the size, mass, and power consumption. We proposed optical harness connection technology which was an application of time division multiple access (TDMA) technology used in optical subscriber access system. This technology can be further reduced the size, mass, and power consumption by reducing the number of active components such as transceivers and switches. We are considering two types of usage examples for optical harness connection technology: matrix switch function and redundant function. In this paper, we studied a method switching from primary path to redundant path without loss packets when assuming that the inter-device connections is a redundant architecture and evaluated its validity using a prototype. As a result, we confirmed that the data continues to be received without loss packets even when the failure happens. |
