Abstract(in English) This paper presents a wearable perspiration monitoring system to enhance the accuracy. The proposed system circulates air on human skin surface and measures a perspiration based on temperature and relative humidity values before and after skin passage. A micro blower driver, AD converters for capacitive humidity sensors and thermistors, and controller are integrated into a chip with a 0.18 ?m BCD process. The proposed system improves the accuracy up to 250 times higher compared with the previous prototype system. Additionally, the power dissipation can be effectively suppressed by reducing charge/discharge cycles. Also, the designed micro blower driver can blow air sufficiently and regulate the flow rate. A flexible board with a mounted chip and PDMS micro air-flow path enable miniaturization and flexibility. Furthermore, the correlation between output value of the system and amount of perspiration weighed with an electric balance has been investigated by demonstrating with a prototype system and simulated skin. The experimental results show a perspiration monitoring capability of the system. In addition, a calibration method has been established for the proposed system with valuable ventilation flow rate, which enables a dissipated power suppression.
