Abstract(in English) | Beyond 5G and 6G are considering the use of higher frequency bands than current mobile communication systems. Because of the high propagation loss of radio waves in the high-frequency band, high quality communication cannot be provided due to shielding by buildings and other obstacles, so-called coverage holes. Metasurface reflectors that reflect radio waves in directions other than normal reflection are attracting attention as a countermeasure, and IRS (Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces) that can control the reflection direction are also attracting attention. At high frequencies, a large-scale IRS consisting of a large number of elements is required, and the design of a large-scale IRS becomes complicated. In this report, we propose a method to design a large-scale IRS using quantum annealing, and evaluate its usefulness by simulated annealing method. As a result, it was confirmed that the reflection intensity in the specified single and multiple directions was enhanced and that design of large-scale IRS was possible. Then, the usefulness of the IRS design method using quasi-quantum annealing was demonstrated. |
