Puncturing Scheme Utilizing Channel State Information for Turbo-Coded Symbol Level Precoding in Satellite Communication Systems

Abstract(in English) This paper presents a new approach for integrating Symbol Level Precoding (SLP) with Turbo Code to enhance their performance. The conventional technique for improving SLP performance with Turbo Code involves adding encoding and decoding processes after modulation and demodulation, respectively. However, this method only partially optimizes the Turbo code's and SLP's performance of both Turbo Code and SLP, as they operate independently. This study proposes a combined system that considers the known Channel State Information (CSI) to puncture the transmitted symbols adaptively. Our simulation shows an improvement of up to 1 dB when symbols are punctured by 20%, reducing computational complexity compared to the conventional system.
