Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Much research is currently being conducted on temperature illusions in real-world environments. However, there is a lack of research on which contributes more to temperature perception when temperature and visual stimuli are given in VR. In this study, visual stimuli in VR and direct temperature stimuli were given with time differences to investigate which contributes more to human temperature perception. In the experiment, temperature stimuli were followed by various patterns of time-differentiated visual stimuli. Human temperature perception was investigated by asking subjects to provide real-time feedback on their perceived temperature. The results showed that the first temperature stimulus given had a greater effect on temperature perception than the visual stimuli.
