Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose an approximate epidemic model representing the behavior of malware propagation on mobile devices with ordinary differential equations. The proposed model divides a target area into some fixed-size compartments. Then, for each compartment, it provides ordinary differential equations considering the movement of devices between the compartments. By doing so, we can reduce the number of ordinary differential equations to represent the malware propagation on mobile devices, compared with conventional epidemic models. As a result, the computation time to obtain solutions showing infection dynamics can be reduced. Through numerical calculations, we show that our proposed epidemic model well approximates results obtained from a conventional epidemic model with low computation time.
