Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Quantum computers can solve astronomical time-consuming calculations at high speed by using qubits representing the superposition of two states, 0 and 1, for operations. Though research teams worldwide are developing large-scale quantum computers, one obstacle that hinders the scalability of quantum computing systems is that the heat load limits the number of qubits implemented through the microwave cable that connects room temperature and cryogenic temperatures. We propose an amplitude-controllable microwave pulse generator using single flux quantum circuits to realize a qubit control circuit that can operate at cryogenic temperatures. We have designed and fabricated the amplitude-controllable microwave pulse generator using a low critical current density Josephson integrated circuit process of Jc=1 kA/cm2 for low power consumption.
