Abstract(in English) | The high bandwidth optical modulators are widely developed to achieve the transmission capacity of 800 Gbps per wavelength. The thin film lithium niobate (TF-LN) is one of the technology for high speed and high integration. The TF-LN can shorten the optical modulator length while maintaining the advantages of bulk LN modulator. In this presentation, we present the development progress and performance of coherent driver modulator (CDM), which is one of the optical device using TF-LN. For future discussion, we also present the possibility of 200 Gbaud by using low permittivity substrate that reduce the RF loss, and the possibility of heterogeneous integration between silicon photonics and TF-LN. |
