Satellite Communication Terminal Geolocation using Robust direct geolocation method

Abstract(in English) In satellite Geolocation, Two-Step-GEOlocation-method(TSGEO) using TimeDifference Of Arrival (TDOA) and Frequency Difference Of Arrival (FDOA) was originally used. On the other hand, the Direct-GEOlocation-method (DGEO) has recently been proposed to directly locate the target position from the received signal. DGEO has been reported to be effective when sufficient power is not available at the ground station. However, DGEO does not take into account the effects of delay time, frequency error, and other factors that occur at the satellite. The authors have proposed a method named High-performanceDirect-GEOlocation-method(HDGEO) that is robust to the errors described above by utilizing reference stations whose positions are known. In this paper, we propose a method that further improves the convenience of the HDGEO by reducing the computational load.
