Throughput Maximization of Semi-Grant-Free PD-NOMA for mMTC

Abstract(in English) This paper maximizes the throughput of the semi-grant-free power-domain non-orthogonal multiple access (SGF-NOMA) for the massive machine-type communications (mMTC). The key idea to maximize the throughput is to allow a base station to allocate multiple grant-based (GB) users in each frequency resource, optimizing the average packet arrival rate of grant-free (GF) users. This paper analyzes the throughput of SGF-NOMA with multiple GB users and then maximizes the throughput based on the analysis. Our results highlighted that the proposed SGF-NOMA achieved 35% higher peak throughput than the existing one.
