Abstract(in English) | ON-OFF switching of phase-change material high-frequency switching devices is performed by reversibly changing the phase between a low-resistance crystalline phase and a high-resistance amorphous phase using heating and quenching by pulse heater control for 100~ns to 1~$mu$s. Therefore, transient heat transfer simulation is important for device structure design and operation analysis. In this report, the advantages and operating principles of phase-change material high-frequency devices will be explained, and how heat transfer simulations are utilized in research and development will be discussed. |
