Abstract(in English) | The folklore belief that "mushrooms thrive with lightning strikes" has long been recognized among farmers. In previous research, an artificial impulse voltage generator was used to simulate lightning strikes. Logs were placed away from the discharge electrode to avoid direct impact and were found to yield approximately double the fruiting bodies compared to the control group. This suggests that factors other than direct electrical stimulation contribute to the increased production. Building upon this, our study hypothesized that the sound of lightning strikes promotes fruiting body formation and conducted experiments to validate this hypothesis. The experiments investigated the relationship between sound pressure and the promotion of fruiting body formation, as well as the effect of different frequencies present in lightning strike sounds. The results confirmed the stimulating effect of sound on fruiting body formation and are reported accordingly. |
