Abstract(in English) | The demands for higher performance in mobile communication systems continue to increase, and research anddevelopment for 5G and beyond has been promoted internationally. New technologies for mobile communication systems are researched and evaluated through various means, including theoretical evaluations and experiments using actual wireless devices. However, each research and its evaluation has been conducted on a different platform, which causes problems in terms of compatibility, scalability, and development costs. To resolve these issues, open-source 5G platforms such as OpenAirInterface (OAI), which enables the realization of a highly extensible evaluation platform that complies with international standards, have attracted attention. In this paper, we develop a 5G-OAI platform introducing a new communication method known as simplified Universal Time-domain Windowed Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (UTW-OFDM), which highly utilizes the spectrum resources, and evaluate its out-of-band emission (OOBE) suppression performance and block error rate including the 5G core network with upper-layer stacks. |
