[Invited Talk] Loss Analysis of Contactless Power Transmission in Seawater

Abstract(in English) In recent years, contactless power transmission has become a familiar technology as it has been increasingly used in smartphones. At the same time, it is expected to be utilized in cases where large amounts of power are required, such as power supply to electric vehicles and underwater robots. The magnetic resonance method has been actively studied as a method for contactless power transmission over medium to long distances. However, its power efficiency decreases in seawater. This report presents experimental results of power, power efficiency, and power loss measured in three different media such as air, water, and salt water. The results of measurements and simulation will also be presented to explain the loss factors of contactless power transmission in seawater.
