Application of Sequentially Updated Signed Color Distance to Image Decoloring Method Based on Linear Projection and Study on Definition of Signed Color Distance

Abstract(in English) Color removal of images is a useful technique in terms of data compression, printing cost reduction, and so on and is increasingly necessary in recent years. Many such conversion methods and means for expressing the distance between two colors have been investigated. In this report, we study whether a better monochrome image is obtained by combining the color removal method using linear projection and sequentially updated signed color distance. In addition, we consider the definition of other signed color distance suitable for combination with linear projection.
