Bifurcation analysis and simulation of a biological switch model

Abstract(in English) Using a mathematical model of biological switches, we examine the phenomenon of cell differentiation under a cyclic external force as a circadian rhythm. In order to understand the differentiation state of cells with different parameters in the mathematical model, a bifurcation analysis of the periodic solution is investigated, and the topological classification of the periodic solution is performed by means of a bifurcation diagram. We also show that a period-doubling cascade chain occurs, resulting in different states of Delta concentration, or differentiation, in the cell. The response of the mathematical model under a cyclic external force as a circadian rhythm is investigated by computer simulations. In the bistable region, the attraction regions are separated from each other by a high potential, and the amplitude of a cyclic external force as a circadian rhythm cannot merge the attraction regions with each other, indicating that the switch structure does not collapse.
