Abstract(in English) This paper reports on the modelling of three dimensional recording media, with the aim of achieving an areal recording density of 4 Tbit/in2 in a medium consisting of two discrete recording structures. Thermal conduction simulations were combined with micromagnetic simulations to determine the requirements for the recording media.
