Abstract(in English) | Services that utilize region-specific data collected by onboard vehicle sensors have been attracting attention. In these studies, vehicles and edge servers collaborate to perform federated learning; however, they do not consider the issue of learning results not being reflected when a vehicle moves out of the server's communication range during learning. Furthermore, the server sets a timeout for aggregating learning models, resulting in time overhead for the learning process. To address these issues, we propose a method that transmits the learning model to the server, even if incomplete, before the vehicle moves out of the edge server's communication range. Simulation evaluations demonstrate that the number of aggregated models increases and learning efficiency improves due to the absence of time overhead. |
