Abstract(in English) | In this report, we describe recent research and development of wireless techniques for realizing 6G/IOWN concepts. We consider new networks (NWs) to support various cutting edge use cases in 2030s. NTT proposed the innovative optical and wireless network (IOWN) concept in May 2019 to construct the future optical and wireless networks for the 2030s.In addition, IOWN will provide innovative optical techniques, high transmission capacity and huge computer resources compared with conventional NWs. On the other hand, wireless area has announced the sixth generation (6G) mobile communication system concepts across the world. 6G system also focus on the extreme high data rate / capacity, coverage extension and low energy. Thus, we consider that the IOWN concept and 6G system have the same targets for future NWs. Therefore, for realizing 6G/IOWN concepts, we have studied wireless techniques focusing on higher capacity, coverage extension, application area extension. This report introduces the wireless techniques related to three our targets and its forecasts. |
