Novel Data Broadcasting System in Illumination-Light Communication with Densely Arranged RGB-LED

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an RGB-LED visible light communication system that simultaneously transmits dynamic data such as communication data, and data that presents static information spatially, such as unique information of the illumination device (e.g., manufacturing numbers and installation dates) by QR code. Thereby, inspection and maintenance of the illumination devices can be easily conducted, as the unique information of each illumination devices can be confirmed without removing them. Through performance evaluation by theoretical calculation, it is confirmed that in order to improve the communication performance, it is necessary to optimize the distance between the transmitter and receiver, while the distance between the LEDs composing the illumination device does not affect the communication performance. In the case of spatial data, it is also confirmed that the communication performance improves as the number of frames for majority decision at the receiver increases.
