Dependence of Wire Harness Configuration on Radiated Emissions Measurement of Automotive Equipment

Abstract(in English) In recent years, with developments in automated driving technology, high reliability is required for in-vehicle communications. Therefore, emission evaluation of in-vehicle equipment is becoming increasingly important. One of the emission test standard for in-vehicle equipment, CISPR 25, specifies size of a reference plane and location of a wire harness. However, the test environment is different from that in actual vehicle-mounted equipment. In addition, sensitivity to the specified conditions has been unclear. In this report, the authors evaluate the effects of measurement cable placement, DUT setup symmetry, and wiring harness height near the condition of corporate bonds on measurement results in the emission test. In particular, the height of the wire harness, the presence of bends in the wire harness, and distance from front edge of the reference ground are used as parameters to evaluate the effect on the output value of the receiver antenna. As a result, it is found that the measured values varied depending on the height of the wire harness and the distance from the end of the reference ground. It is also found that varying the height of the wire harness caused the superiority and inferiority to switch depending on the frequency.
