Abstract(in English) | HAPS(High-Altitude Platform Station) attracts attention as a new communication platform which provides wide area communication services directly to smartphones on the ground from the stratosphere. We have developed a dynamic area optimization technique that uses Genetic Algorithm(GA) to optimize cell configuration, such as beam direction and width, to maximize communication capacity in response to changes in user distribution when the HAPS service area consists of multiple cells. However, GA incurs computational cost when searching for optimal values each time the user distribution changes, which means that it cannot immediately respond to sudden changes caused by large-scale disasters or events. In this paper, we propose a dynamic area optimization method that uses Neural Network which pre-learns GA optimization results as training data and can immediately respond to unknown distributions. Simulation results show that the objective function CDF by beams the proposed method predicts are nearly equivalent to GA for population data extracted from Japan. |
