Abstract(in English) | While various efforts are being made to achieve a carbon-neutral society by 2050, Japan has announced that it aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 46% from the FY2013 level by FY2030 and will continue to challenge for a further 50% reduction in FY2030, following the decision of the Glasgow Climate Accord. This means that all sectors in Japan must reduce GHG emissions. In this paper, we focus on the residential sector and estimate further reductions through the installation of PV power generation and the reduction of losses in AC-DC conversion by supplying and distributing power using direct current. As a result, it was confirmed that a 46% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to FY2013 is possible. |
