A Regional Monitoring System Considering Privacy Using Agent-based IoT

Abstract(in English) In urban areas, human relationships weaken due to a decline in the participation of residents'{} associations, a weakening of relationships with neighbors, and so on. This problem causes a decline in the local community. Hence, it may impair monitoring functions for preventing crime and disaster due to a lack of mutual help within the community. An IoT-based regional monitoring system, which monitors residents using cameras, has been proposed to deal with the problem. However, it needs to deploy cameras by the system administrator to cover the whole area. On the other hand, various private/public cameras have already been installed in urban areas. In this paper, we propose a regional monitoring system using agent-based IoT to realize the use of various private/public cameras by considering privacy. We implemented the proposed system in small devices and verified the procedure of the whole system.
