Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A picture description task with spoken primes and targets was conducted to examine whether the spoken input affect Japanese EFL learners’ syntactic priming effect. The results indicate that priming effect was observed with active primes, and an increase in cumulative priming effect was observed with passive primes. Therefore, the results indicate that Japanese EFL learners transited the knowledge of the structure from declaratives to procedural knowledge when they heard spoken forms, and they learned syntactic knowledge through error-based learning process based on prediction errors.
