Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In recent years, communication via messaging applications has become indispensable. However, there are many users who do not feel that they have deepened their friendship with others through inorganic communication using text messages. In addition, it is difficult to communicate closely without non-verbal information, and there is concern that problems on social networking sites caused by such discrepancies in communication may lead to "social networking fatigue. On the other hand, there are situations where face-to-face communication and video calls are difficult. Therefore, in addition to existing messaging applications, a method for communicating non-verbal information is needed. In this study, we proposed a UI that attempts to solve this problem by introducing the concept of "touching each other" in a message application. We conducted user tests of three UIs that implement this concept and evaluated them from three points: whether they increase intimacy, whether they make the user want to actually use them, and whether they make the user want to react to them. |
