| Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses the search for malicious botnets by white-hat worms in the Botnet Defense System (BDS). Since the Internet is an open system, BDS cannot observe all the nodes, but it can improve its observability by building its own botnet using good worms and through the spread of infection. However, this means that the observability depends on the random self-multiplication of the worms. Therefore, this paper attempts to improve the observability by allowing the white-hat worms to cross the unobservable area. After formulating the problem, we proposed a brute-force search method and two heuristic ones: worm-reduced and time-shorten. The simulation result shows that if the malicious botnet slowly spreads, the worm-reduced is effective, otherwise, the time-shorten is effective. |
