High Speed Optical Wireless Uplink using MU-MIMO with Angle Diversity

Abstract(in English) This work proposes a high-speed uplink optical wireless communication system using multiuser multiple input multiple output technique. In the system, the receiver has multiple photodetectors on the ceiling and each user transmitter located near the floor has multiple light-emitting diodes (LEDs). To enhance the uplink channel quality, angle diversity is employed for each transmitter consisting of multiple LEDs with different orientations at changing locations. The simulation results reveal that the proposed system achieves a bit error rate (BER) of each user lower than 10−4 when one user is fixed and the other is randomly moving.
