Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The general method to judge a color blindness is a subjective test that depends on the subjectivity of the subject. However, the objective evaluation of color blindness has not been proposed yet. The Steady-State Visually Evoked Potentials (SSVEP) is brain wave evoked by gazing at a constant period of light flashes. SSVEP is known as biological information which reflects color perception. In a previous study, Kaneko showed the process of color information processing in the human brain by changing the colors of checkerboard patterns (visual stimuli). Results showed that the amount of SSVEP depends on the color combination of the visual. Moreover, the amount of SSVEP was strongly related to color vision of the subject. In this paper, we propose visual stimuli to evaluate color blindness using SSVEP.
