Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Tokyo Healthcare University is an health university in the health field that trains professionals in nursing, nutrition, and information technology. Education in data science is important because the university's philosophy is to develop human resources who can solve social issues from new perspectives in the 21st century, when the knowledge society is realized. On the other hand, because time is allocated to specialized education for the medical profession, classes involving the use of open data and AI exercises are not sufficient. Therefore, we conducted a syllabus comparison with similar universities to sort out the issues. The results showed that AI education at universities in the health field mainly consists of compulsory liberal arts courses such as data science and information literacy, and elective specialized courses such as medical informatics. In both cases, there are few examples of education using actual health data, suggesting the need to improve the infrastructure for training.
