Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Salient Object Detection is a task to detect visually significant objects in an image. Conventional methods have problems with blurring of object boundaries and inability to detect important parts of objects, leading to a decrease in accuracy. Therefore, in this paper, we propose Saliency and Edge Reverse Attention, which combines the fusion of saliency and edge features with Reverse Attention. This is a mechanism to enhance each other's features by interacting the reversed saliency and edge features. In addition, in order to make it easier to refer to the global information of an image, we introduced a module that can obtain rich information at different scales by transforming feature maps to different resolutions and interacting with them. Experimental results on five benchmarks show that the new method quantitatively performs as well as or better than the conventional method, and qualitatively improves the clarity of object boundaries and the accurate detection of important parts of the image. |
