Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In this study, we examined whether the relative timing of a laugh track would influence the evaluation of fun of a visual stimulus. The laugh track was presented 2-sec early, simultaneously, 2-sec later, simultaneously but phase shuffled, or not presented. Participants rated their fun and preference for 3 geometric figures. The results showed that, regardless of the relative timing of the laugh track (early, simultaneous, or later), the fun evaluation was significantly higher with the laugh track than the phase-shuffled laugh track and without the laugh track. On the other hand, the evaluation of preference was significantly lower with the phase-shuffled laugh track. These results suggest that while the laugh track enhances the evaluation of fun of the visual stimuli, the 2-sec offset of laugh track may not affect the evaluation of fun. |
