Micro displacement sensing technique using Fabry-Perot interferometer with optical fibers

Abstract(in English) In order to further improve the sensitivity of the servo seismograph, a method of incorporating a Fabry-P?rot interferometer using an optical fiber has been proposed. However, since the Fabry-P?rot interferometer measures displacement as interference light intensity, it is difficult to measure the direction of displacement. The authors have confirmed that it is possible to measure the displacement direction by vibration for the longitudinal direction at optical fiber, performing phase modulation, but it was difficult to measure with high sensitivity because the interferometer itself is vibrated. For this reason, we proposed an optical relay method using an optical fiber that Possible to keep a sufficient distance between performing phase modulation point to sensor point. In this paper, we describe the measurement results by an optical relay method using an optical fiber and the improvement of the measurement system.
