Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an optimal modulation selection method in LED visible light wireless communications by spatially parallel signal transmission in which the most efficient modulation scheme is adaptively selected for each photodetector according to transmission channel states. Spectrum efficiency improvement by the proposed method is evaluated by computer simulation. The evaluation results show that the proposed method can improve reception performance at the points between LED lights, and spectrum efficiency with the method can be up to about 2.0 times compared to the conventional method with only one modulation scheme. Furthermore, they show that reception performance with highly efficient modulation schemes can be improved by pre-distortion processing which is an LED non-linear distortion compensation method.
