Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We communicate through mirrors in our daily lives. Based on this experience, we thought that it is easier to talk through a mirror than to talk without using a mirror. In addition, due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19), many online conferences are being held using Web conferencing systems. We think that online conferencing and communication through a mirror have one thing in common: the ability to confirm the other person's and one's own appearance. In this report, we describe the results of a questionnaire survey on whether it is easier to talk in a mirror than in a conversation without a mirror, and the places where people look at each other during online meetings. Based on the results of the survey, the objective of the research was set as conversation facilitation using mirrors, and methods to achieve the objective were examined.
