Abstract(in English) Virtual Reality (VR) contents are expected to be utilized in various fields such as education, medicine, and entertainment. In this situation, free viewpoint video exists as VR viewing content that requires a higher feeling of realism. In free viewpoint video streaming for sports games, it is necessary to play back 3D data for the stadium and the number of players. The total amount of such data are expected to be 100 Gbps. In addition, user’s viewing devices are likely to be diverse. Therefore, a delivery method that is independent of the user's viewing device and reduces the amount of data is needed. According to these reasons, in this paper, we propose a free viewpoint video delivery method in which 3D data extracted from moving objects such as athletes and rendered based on the user's viewpoint information is transferred in the core network, recomposited with background 2D data held in the edge server in advance, and delivered to the user. The proposed method reduces the amount of transferred data by using motion extracted 2D data as the data transferred in the core network.
