Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, the spread of false information and misinformation through SNS and information media has become a problem, and it has become increasingly difficult to distinguish between the truth and falsehood of information. Fact-checkers verify the authenticity of information whose content is unknown. However, it is difficult to obtain sufficient rewards for the current fact-checking activities, and it is not sustainable. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a prototype web application that records a registry on the blockchain that guarantees the trustworthiness of fact-checkers. We also propose a mechanism to obtain rewards for fact-checkers. We held a fact-checking contest for university students enrolled in our department, and investigated the effectiveness of the system and the setting of appropriate rewards for fact-checkers through questionnaires. As a result, we found that the interest in fact-checking slightly increased after the contest, and also the reward that should be offered by the requester of fact checking is approximately 1,100 Japanese yen.
