Abstract(in English) | In a standard 5G core network (CN;5GC), a single Network Function (NF) accommodates a large number of User Equipment (UE), and the context of the UE is maintained across multiple NFs. This architecture has a large impact range when a problem or maintenance operation occurs in an NF, which may cause a major breakdown. In this paper, we review the existing architecture and propose a design of procedural 5GC (Proc5GC), which provides a stateless procedural function for each UE. We implemented the Registration procedure according to the proposed design and evaluated its basic performance. |
