Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In our recent research, we found that the self-face morphing had a significant impact on agent impression, but was negatively correlated. It is contradicted by the report of related works. Moreover, the agent’s trustworthiness was significantly related to subject’s motivation. The negative effect is thought to be caused by morphing facial features associated with aging, such as wrinkles. Therefore, we thought that morphing with a rejuvenated self-face will reverse the negative effects to positive effects. Thus, we conducted an experiment to evaluate trustworthiness of faces with manipulating age and controlling morph rate of the self-face. Based on the obtained trust ratings, we investigated the optimal age and morph rate of the self-face. In order to compare the results with those of the older age group, the same experiment was also conducted on the younger age group. As an experimental result, in older age group, highest trustworthiness for men was 25 years and 0, and for women was 25 years and 0.2. In the younger age group, the trustworthiness was higher for men was 54.93 years and 0.75, and for women was 25 years and 0.4, and 25 years and 0.25, respectively. The above results indicate that manipulating age of the self-face and morphing it with the agent’s face can improve trustworthiness and increase motivation.
