Abstract(in English) | Various applications from IoT (Internet of Things) to large capacity video transmission are expected to be supported in everywhere by using satellite communications and drone communications named NTN (Non Terrestrial Networks) in addition to terrestrial networks such as cellular systems and wireless LANs in Beyond 5G and 6G world. On the other hand, spectrum resource for supporting above wireless communications is tight, in particular, no excess spectrum remains below 6GHz called sub-6 bands, which are suitable for mobile communications. In order to solve above problems, we have to consider more flexible spectrum use according to user demands including the spectrum with high frequency like mm-wave and Tera-Hz wave. Highly accurate wireless environment recognition is important to efficiently use the spectrum with considering user demand for deciding reliability and stability of communication link and for efficiently sharing multiple systems and users on the same frequency. In wireless communications, it is important to use the estimated received signal power because the received signal power is fluctuated by surrounding structures, terrain and frequency. Therefore, in this paper, we explain multi-dimensional radio environment recognition technologies, in which radio environment in outdoor-indoor three-dimensional (3D) space is recognized and variation of the received signal power in frequency and time domain is predicted. We discuss the application of the recognized radio environment such as improving the performance of spectrum sharing, NTN, V2X(Vehicle to Everything) and wireless power transform targeting Beyond 5G /6G wireless communications. |
