Revisiting the Transport Layer Design for Cross-Layer Cooperation towards Just-in-Time Data Communication

Abstract(in English) As various applications have been developed over the Internet, the requirements from these applications have also become diversified. To satisfy various requirements, we propose just-in-time data communication to deliver data by the time when the data is actually required by an application. To this end, we revisit the transport layer and propose to divide the transport layer into data path and data flow sublayers. We also discuss the future Internet architecture through the analysis on the use cases and the prototype implementation.
