Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of the advantages of using the cloud is cost reduction, and AWS offers EC2, a virtual computing cloud, as spot instances of surplus resources at low prices. In recent years, cost reductions through the use of spot instances have been attracting attention. On the other hand, because spot instances are surplus resources, there is a risk of interruption when demand soars. Therefore, continuous execution of spot instances can be unstable. AWS has data centers around the world in the form of regions, and demand differs from region to region. Therefore, this study proposes a bidding method that reduces the cost of spot instances by taking into account AWS regions and reducing the interruption rate of spot instances.
