Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The author's laboratory has proposed an adaptive link rate switching method based on a traffic splitting method for power saving for an organization network that is constructed from multiple sites built with OpenFlow switches and links connecting the sites, but the proposed method has the problem that any inter-site communication is not allowed. To solve this problem, this paper extends the previous work to enable the adaptive link rate switching considering inter-site communication by referring to the destination address and the DSCP value of a packet in a flow table of the switches. The total power consumption to transmit a specific traffic for 24 hours is calculated and shows that the total power consumption of the proposed method is reduced from that of the previous method.
