A Study on improvement of handover in Relay systems with UAV

Abstract(in English) High frequency such as millimeter waves and terahertz waves that can use broadband are used to do high data rate wireless communication. However, the uplink throughput tends to be lower than the downlink throughput. Therefore we consider that the uplink throughput can be improved by adding a relay communication function to the UAV. When relaying communication, it is necessary to switch the relaying UAV or the connecting base station by handover according to the movement of the user terminal. We have proposed a method to decide whether to handover based on whether the uplink throughput of the whole system is improved or not, but there is a possibility that some terminals will have extremely low throughput. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the throughput of the terminal whose throughput is extremely low while considering the improvement of the uplink throughput of the whole system, and show the results of the computer simulation.
