Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | X-ray CT is a medical imaging system in which an X-ray source is rotated along a cross-section of the human body, the transmission intensity of the X-ray source is detected by an X-ray detector, and a cross-sectional image is reconstructed by a computer. In X-ray CT imaging, scattered X-rays have been removed or corrected as a major cause of artifacts in the reconstructed image. However, scattered X-rays are considered to contain information about the object, and it has been shown that the accuracy of reconstruction can be improved by using such information. There is a previous study that suggests that the coefficients of two basis functions can be estimated in a single irradiation by using scattered X-rays in the Dual-Energy X-ray CT method. In that study, only the photoelectric effect and Compton scattering were considered as X-ray interactions. In this study, we introduced Rayleigh scattering in addition to them and verified the possibility of improving the estimation accuracy with only one measurement by introducing scattered X-rays. |
