Non-Repudiation Broadcast Authentication Methods for C-V2X Communication

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a real-time and low-computation authentication method for broadcast communication in C-V2X. The proposed method extends TESLA, an existing broadcast communication authentication technique, and defines a mobile base station as a new intermediary between a sender and a receiver, thereby solving problems that occur when TESLA is adapted to C-V2X. We implement the proposed method in a simulated Wi-Fi ad hoc mode to show its feasibility and effectiveness. In addition, we show that the proposed method is the most suitable authentication method for broadcast communication in C-V2X by comparing it with existing technologies.
