Secure communication based on high precision space-time synchronization

Abstract(in English) This research aims to establish a new technology to realize secure communication based on space-time synchro- nization called the wireless two-way interferometry (abbreviated as Wi-Wi). Wi-Wi is a spin-off technology of two-way satellite time and frequency transfer, and it provides us high precision time and phase synchronization with low cost and power consumption. We have proposed a method to conceal arbitrary information in phase variation of channel characteristics between two remote sites phase-synchronized by Wi-Wi and showed that the proposed method has capability of realizing secure communication through computer simulations and experiments. However, the number of samples in the previous experiment was only four. In this paper, we introduce the achievements of Globecom2022 and show the results of the technical verification when the number of samples is increased.
