On Polarimetric Scattering Component Decomposition for PolSAR image by Using Random-rotated Dihedral Scattering Component

Abstract(in English) In polarimetry, SAR image classification, PolSAR, model-based scattering sower decomposition which decomposes data into fundamental scattering components has a great potential of applications such as land cover classification. Although many improved techniques have been proposed, missclassification of forests and oriented urban areas consisting of buildings aligned not parallel to the observation path still remains a problem. In this report, we propose a five component decomposition adding left and right helix model, or random oriented dihedral model to distinguish typical property between forest and oriented urban. We also propose a new technique for estimating the unknown parameters of the model.
