Abstract(in English) | In indoor 3.5-m uplink screen camera communication using a smartphone screen and a video camera, it has been shown that low-luminance spatial division multiplexing (SDM) screen with on-off keying (OOK) cells improves data rate and enhances wide-angle physical layer security. However, OOK requires threshold learning and is difficult to apply when environmental conditions such as ambient light change. In this study, SDM screen is configured with spatial four-pulse position modulation (4PPM) cells, and the receiving camera makes symbol decision by correlation processing that does not require threshold learning. Numerical models and experiments demonstrate that the proposed method is effective to increase the data rate and enhance the physical layer security at wide angles. It is shown that strength of the physical layer security at wide angles can be designed using the cell size and pixel value of a 4PPM-SDM screen as parameters. |
